OUR APPROACH

An old rusted anchor lying on the ground near water, with grass, small yellow flowers, rocks, and distant islands shrouded in fog in the background.

You are the expert in your own life. We walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and clinical expertise to help you create meaningful change.

Begins with You

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy offers a supportive space to explore what is happening for you, understand what matters most, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. It can help you feel more like yourself, build stronger relationships, and move toward the life you want.

A Person Centred Approach

We value the therapeutic relationship and provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we will explore your experiences, strengths, and goals at a pace that feels right for you. Your voice and choices guide our work together.

Evidence Informed Psychotherapy

We draw from research-supported approaches and tailor them to what fits you best. This may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when appropriate.

Move Toward What Matters

Have support as you take meaningful steps toward the life you want to live.

Looking at the Whole Person

At Anchored in Wellness, we take a biopsychosocial and holistic approach to psychotherapy. This means we consider how your physical health, thoughts and emotions, relationships, and life circumstances may affect one another.

Sleep, stress, past experiences, work, and family responsibilities can all shape how you feel. For some people, trauma or ADHD may also be part of the picture. We’ll take time to understand your experience, explore patterns that may be affecting you, and consider an approach that fits your needs and goals.
