Clinic Owner and Registered Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Heather.

I live in Milton, Ontario with my husband, our two children ages 14 and 17, and our Portuguese Water Dog, Ember. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, walking Ember, or enjoying nature.  I've always loved being near the water; it brings me a sense of calm and perspective, inspiring the name Anchored in Wellness. Originally from the maritimes.

My interest in psychology began long before I became a therapist. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, life took me in a different direction. I built a career in the corporate world, raised a family, and experienced many of the changes and challenges that come with adulthood. Those experiences eventually led me back to the path I had always intended to follow. They also reinforced my belief that resilience isn't about avoiding difficult seasons, it's about learning how to move through them with greater confidence, self-awareness, and the support of others.

In 2018, I returned to school and completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, becoming a Registered Psychotherapist.

Today, I work with adults and couples navigating life transitions, anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy.
